Hope On The Streets is an invitation to singers and musicians in all Christian churches to go out on the Pentecost weekend (May 22-24, 2026) to meet people on the streets and share the gospel through songs.
”The first disciples went out on Pentecost to share the gospel commissioned by the risen Christ, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Let’s get outside the church walls for one day and encounter people in public places through songs that touch their hearts. Our vision is to see people singing about Jesus on the streets in 200 towns in Finland.”Organize your own outdoor event with music, worship, and sharing the gospel to the people in your city or town. Worship teams may also sing in different public spaces such as stations, parks, or institutions, and invite people to sing and hear the gospel.
Register your group or event:
General guidelines:
Time: Pentecost weekend (May 22-24) or during the preceding week.
Interaction: Seek to engage with the listeners and encounter them; do not hide behind a big production.
Mood: Make it a joyful event, not too solemn or complicated.
Songs: Choose songs that convey the message of Jesus and faith and that also non-Christian people can relate to.
Registration: Please register here and tell us your event location and time so we can follow how many groups are joining. It would also be great to receive some pictures and testimonies about what God did through your event!
Other tips:
- Beside musicians, ask other church members to join to talk and pray with people on the streets.
- You may include other forms of art such as street theatre or painting.
- Talk to other churches in your area and cooperate if possible or take turns in singing and playing.
